The Rum River is beautiful, and this section is fun and easy to paddle. You can also stop to picnic and swim. I always see lots of wildlife, even paddled past a trumpeter swan. Highly recommend taking this trip!

Very peaceful and quiet area, no traffic noise at all. Saw very few houses either. Just us and nature. John and Molly are great! John gave us tips on navigating rivers which can have unexpected obstacles. We even had a chance to practice them when we encountered a beaver dam that almost completely blocked the river! Both John and Molly are fun and easy-going, will paddle with them anytime.
